Aims of On A Mission, Ireland

To promote and support our sport of Eventing in Ireland
To raise the profile of Owners
To support our Elite riders and Young International riders
To encourage the retention of our top horses
            To provide funding for training
            To support Irish Events
To organise trips for owners and supporters to major events abroad
To continue our excellent working relationship with Eventing Ireland

We have come a long way since 2002 when On a Mission was first put on the map. Initially we had a small number of members but this has grown and now members have plenty to look forward to and enjoy throughout the Eventing year.

Our Subscription is just €35. which is great value for money. This has never been increased since our inception in 2002, and we decided at our AGM in January 2010, not to raise it again this year. We rely tremendously on our member’s subscriptions. Please download the membership_form_2010 to join and tell your friends! The more the merrier.

Benefits of Joining On A Mission.

We hold our AGM and annual dinner each year and this is always a pleasant evening and get together and we have an interesting after dinner speaker. Past speakers have included Grania Willis on her amazing climb of  Mt.Everest,  Jessie Harrington on Moscow Flyer, Tommy Brennan on his life and times and Geoff Curran on his experiences at the 2008 Olympics. The OAM League prizes are presented.

We will be having our very popular 'Pimms Party' at Tattersalls International Horse Trials again in 2010. We also have fundraisers from time to time which provide great entertainment as well as raising much needed funds for our bursaries.

We also arrange seminars and we hope to have an opportunity to watch our top horses in training at various times. Look forward to a visit to one of the top racing/eventing yards in 2010!

Enjoy some of our best International events with a course walk from a top professional rider. This is a great opportunity to get a better understanding of some of the toughest cross country tracks. The course walks are interesting, fun and a must for any rider looking to improve their cross country riding. On A Mission will be arranging these course walks at Ballindenisk CIC*** in April, Tattersalls CIC*** World Cup Qualifier in June, as well as the prestigious Badminton and Burghley CCI**** in April and September in the UK.

You will receive several newsletters throughout the year.

We provide hospitality at some major events, look out for the brand new On A Mission Gazebo at all major events.

On A Mission needs your support

The bursaries which are awarded to Ireland's young international event riders rely heavily on our Member Subscriptions, as do our Members League Prizes. We have a unique scoring system which rewards the quality of performance as well as the result itself. Each year our riders have increased their points tallies which is mirrored by the improving, and impressive, results of our young international riders and their horses at international events both at home and abroad. On A Mission would very much like to continue supporting our riders with these bursaries as we feel that tremendous progress has been made in recent year. In order to do this we need your support. Please renew your membership for 2010 and perhaps even recruit some new members....! THANK YOU
