To raise the profile of Owners
To support our Elite riders and Young International riders
To encourage the retention of our top horses
To provide funding for training
To support Irish Events
To organise trips for owners and supporters to major events abroad
To continue our excellent working relationship with Eventing Ireland

We have come a long way since 2002 when On a Mission was first put on the map.
Initially we had a small number of members but this has grown and now members have plenty to look forward to and enjoy throughout the Eventing year.

Our Subscription is just €35. which is great value for money. This has never been increased since our inception in 2002, and we decided at our AGM in January 2009, not to raise it again this year.
We rely tremendously on our member’s subscriptions. Please download the membership form to join and tell your friends! The more the merrier.

Benefits of Joining On A Mission.

We arrange trips to international events such as European Championships, WEG, and Olympic Games.
In 2009  we will visit the European Championships at Fontainebleau outside Paris on September 24th – 27th . Details will be on the website soon.
We also regularly visit Le Lion D’Angers in October for the 6 and 7 yr old World Championships and we meet up at Badminton, and  Burghley to support our riders.

In 2010 we will have a trip to the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, USA , Sept 25th – October 10th  2010. Please let me know as soon as you can whether you would be interested in joining our Group. We will also have some outings to various attractions  nearby and at the Horse Park.  I will have more details fairly soon but we will be restricting numbers, so please get your names on the list!
I will then need a deposit to book your place. More news soon.

Our trips are great fun and new friendships are made with likeminded people. They include flights, hotel, car/bus hire and season tickets to the event. I try to apply early so we have good seating.
We hold course walks for members and friends, with a top rider at these international events, which are always interesting and thought provoking.

We hold our AGM and annual dinner each year and this is always a pleasant evening and get together and we have an interesting after dinner speaker. Past speakers have included Grania Willis on her amazing climb of  Mt.Everest,  Jessie Harrington on Moscow Flyer, Tommy Brennan on his life and times and Geoff Curran on his experiences at the 2008 Olympics.         The OAM League prizes are presented.

We have fundraisers from time to time . The last 2 years was a racenight at Tattersalls 3 Day Event in May.
In 2009 we are planning  another Racenight on Friday May 29th at Tattersalls 3 Day Event, thanks to George Mernagh.  This year we will be sending all members a racecard to sell, to help with our fundraiser.  Each line will only cost €10 so it will be easy for everyone to sell their cards! It is a fun evening, put the date in your diaries.

This Spring we have plans to have visit Jessie Harrington’s race yard . This should be most interesting. Those interested members should contact me asop.  The date will be finalised very soon.

At the end of June we look forward to a demonstration by the 3 winners of our Young International Riders Bursary. The date and venue will be finalised in the near future.
This will be a fundraiser with lunch provided.  Watch this space to keep up to date with all the news!

We also arrange seminars and we hope to have an opportunity to watch our top horses in training at various times.

You will receive several newsletters throughout the year.

We provide hospitality at some major events.
